That is abnormal -- bet the motion detector isn't working properly.

I was turning the optic off when not in use between range trips. If this second battery drains as fast, then I'll send the sight back to Leupold for service.

Given how easy it is to move remove the battery from that compartment, if you wanted to go OCD you could use your battery tester gauge to assess percentage draw by day.

Already on it. I'll report back what I find.

The DPP is powered off with the battery inserted.

    Initial Voltage Reading: 3.10
    ~24 hours: 3.08
    ~48 hours: 3.07

Looks like some drain going on even with the power off.

Last I checked, Luitpold does not require return authorization, you can just send the optic back with a note and they will address it.

See this post about current draw and estimated run time: https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....l=1#post885702

It should be close to 16 days of nonstop runtime at full brightness, according to my last measurements and random battery life calculators.

Yours is draining way too fast, or something might be up with your battery.

Yeah, it is dropping consistently. I think I'll be sending it off to Leupold next week. Sigh.

Weekend update - this morning the battery was reading 3.04. Carried for the day and checked six hours later - dropped to 2.97. It's going back to Leupold.

Sigh - Leupold is quoting me a 5 week repair time.

Guess the RMR goes back on the gun...
