I think most American gun owners, even those who understand the origins of the 2nd Amendment, hope they NEVER have to fight a tyrannical government. In fact it's about the last thing anyone wants to happen. That doesn't change any of the reasons the 2nd was adopted. It also doesn't change the fact that in a country where the citizens are unarmed the government can do whatever it damn well pleases, even to extremes in some cases. That is not the state of things here in the U.S.
And "the Police" and "the Troops" are not the government.
Forgot to add... I thought this thread was for funny memes and shit, not political messaging.
