That reminds me of an excahbge one of my bosses once told he had with his wife:
Glen's son had angered him about something and Glen told Laura 'you better take care of your son.' Laura replied 'that's the one thing you can be sure of.' Glen asked 'what?' Laura ended the exchange with 'that he's MY son.'
