Way back when I was an undergrad, I worked for a major city as a part-time student engineer. One of the full-time people there told me that one time she had to inspect a rendering plant. After that, she said she would never eat a hot dog again.

But, smooth muscle comes from the sweetmeats, or sweat breads as some folks call them.

No I don’t know why organ meat was called sweat breads in the south, but it is. Or at least it used to be, I sometimes forget that archaic terms I still enjoy using are not in common usage.
