I haven't needed a sofa box. Just put it out on the curb with a sign that says free and it's gone before you know it.

It didn't even make it to the curb. I put it in the front yard to load up this morning and it disappeared and I live on a one block long dead end street in a private community. Lol.
More fun with a refrigerator. Local guy had one on the street with a free sign, after a couple days, put a $50 sign on it and it was stolen that night.
