Not another dime.
Lieutenant Jones flashes his badge at the blues holding the perimeter and ducks under the yellow "CRIME SCENE" tape. His partner is already at the scene, match stuck in the corner of his lips, hat tilted back and his hands shoved deep in his pockets, watching the coroner work. Jones walks over and waves a hand at the body laying in the grass. "What happened, Smitty?"
Smitty bounces on his heels, shaking his head. He frowns as he pulls out a worn notebook and opens it . "Jonesy, now that's real a tragic story. Near as we can tell, the dead guy, this uh..." He squints at his notebook. "...Erik. He posts a meme making fun of that old computer game- the Oregon Trail." Smitty rolls the match around his mouth and points it at a cuffed figure stuffed in the back of a patrol car. "It just so happens that Terry over there took a real offense, as it was his favorite game. Terry told Erik to take it down and apologize. Our boy Erik just scoffed. Terry didn't like his lack of respect and killed him."
Smitty sighs. "Then the cause of death is-"
The coroner looks up. "He died of dissing Terry. "
