It may be too late to edit the post now but right after posting a reply you can click on "Edit Post" then click on "Manage Attachments" below the post and delete pics that way. If you just delete the pic inside the edit box but don't delete it inside "Manage Attachments" it won't go away. Not sure if that makes much sense.
