Fairness leads to extinction much faster than harsh parameters.
Yes, that was one of the ones I just saw on the last page that I had missed when they were first posted.
Very impressive feat, I couldn't figure out what one did with an excavator on top of a tower though.

Since we're talking about misuse of equipment:
Sadly I have no pictures of this...but about ten years ago a company I worked for had things go a bit wrong with a crane and there was a bunch of gear hanging around a hundred feet up that had to be grabbed with a second crane and cut loose from the first crane.
Being overly confident in my inherent immortality, I volunteered to help. We welded a couple of rings to an oil drum, and I harnessed up and climbed into it with an oxyacetylene rig, we picked me up with the whipline of an 80 ton truck crane, and up I went. I rigged up the main line of the second crane to lift everything the first crane was holding, then cut the whole mess apart with the torch. When the first crane let go, it was a bit of a ride, banging around in an oil drum with a couple of hundred-pound tanks and all.
But I was wearing safety glasses so overall it wasn't too risky.
There was actually a real downside to that attitude and we paid for it later but it's not really a story that belongs in a make-me-laugh thread.
This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.
