My wife's first husband committed suicide in their garage turned wood shop.
I came to know her after the fact, but there was always a strange feeling about the shop.
Fast forward, I had moved in and turned the shop into my own. Nary an issue, but I would find the door locked many times, thought nothing of it.
One rainy day, I'm in there building an end table/magazine rack, when the broom, leaning against the opposite wall, falls into the MIDDLE of the shop. Spooked, but not scared, I picked up the broom, put it back in it's place, and said aloud, "Oh yeah, do that again".
I actually witnessed the broom fly from its resting position to the opposite side of the shop!!!!!!
That was enough for that day, I picked up the broom again, closed the light, and called it for the day.
There were other times when my Labrador would stand outside the shop, door open, in a full nasty growl. Kinda hinky.
When we moved from there to NH, I never bothered to let the new residents know that fact.....hehehehe.

We had a motion controlled light in the same home that was designed to turn on the upstairs [2nd floor] lights when your head broke the 6th stair from the top landing.
There were plenty of times when either my wife or I would reach the top landing, lights on, and see a mist or black shadow travel down the hall, or feel a presence pass us in the hall.
Or have my daughter wake us in the middle of the night to tell us that the 'man' would not stop singing.......
