I still have a bunch of CDs in my car and actually listen to them.

I used to have a vehicle with a regularly-used tape deck (usually Extreme, Metallica, or Megadeth) until that vehicle was rear-ended and declared a total loss a few years ago.

On the way to the coffeehouse, I was listening to Rachmaninoff. Checking email this morning was Bach’s Chaconne from BWV1004.

The record player is the most used music playing device in my house. CDs and tapes are also in very common use. This is mostly due to allot of the bands I like just arnt on spotify or streaming music services, And the only way to hear them is by owning thier records or tapes. Tapes are still very common in some circles believe it or not.

Also, on a similar note (ha, see what I did there?), I saw a kid (prob early 20s or late teens) at the gym wearing a Nirvana t-shirt. He has no memory of Nirvana as a functioning band and likely it's something his parents listened to when they were his age.

This shit makes me feel old.

I realized I was getting older when the local classic rock station played Welcome Home Sanitarium and then about 30 minutes later played a Pearl Jam song. Now, I discovered Metallica right after the Black Album and grew up with grunge being the “thing.” Zeppelin has been classic rock my whole life, but hearing “my music” on the retro radio channel was definitely jarring.
