I worked in a building on the 14th floor. I had to remind people all the time... You can go ahead and call it "14" but that shit is still the 13th floor.

I find it confusing how my wife thinks I'm supposed to know all in advance of what's going on with a movie, but yet when it comes to anything practical in real life when I do have a clue - she'll argue about it with me and then go ask someone else to get an answer for her question.

some buildings legitimately don't have a 13th floor accessible to the general public. They make that a mechanical floor so public floors are 12 and 14.
