    The bleach provides an advantage for the GBRD in that the water is clear enough for them to see while golf ball retrieval diving. Of course golf ball retrieval operations are halted if there is a shark present. Even though the transparent membrane over the shark's eye mitigates most of the sting, it is irritating enough for the sharks that they leave the pond. Research has yet to reveal by what process the shark's do this.
