    The only problem with Utah is their state liquor stores and odd hours.

    I remember some town near Capitol Reef where the hours were clearly posted but the store was closed when it should have been open. I asked a local why it was closed. He said Norma was the only employee and she didn't always open on time. Come back in 20 minutes and she'll be open. She was and just a real sweetheart.

    We like Blanding.

    We may be moving to Utah this summer. If not this summer, it will be next. Since we are both from there, we are familiar with different parts of the state, but it has been more than 25 years since I have been there for more than what felt like a visit - even though we owned a house there and my wife and kids resided there for a few years when I was in the military and travelled a lot.

    I am not looking forward to regular snow, ice, and cold winter weather. Aging parents and current work situation make it seem a good time to return.
