That's a real thing. Some stores purposely change where things are on the shelves every so often. This means that a customer who buys product X every visit will have to search for it, instead of going to aisle Y, 10 feet from the end, third shelf from the top. When they search for it, then they will hopefully see other products that they would otherwise ignore while going to where product X is always located. I guess stores have done the research and have figured out it increases sales enough to be worthwhile.
People who direct store resets are the devil.
