Oh one of my run-ins with the locals..

I've since moved back to Polk County and drive by that gun store weekly.

ETA: the silly girlfriend mentioned there is now my wife and we have 2 kids together. Now who makes bad decisions!

I seem to be attracted to mammoth threads. That one, this one, the Beretta 1301 thread here. I found that post in the middle of a 400+ page thread on crazy things heard in a gun store. Had to screen shot it when I saw it; sounds like something I would do.

To wit: In 8th grade church camp we were standing in line for supper. Guy next to me was talking about giving a cat Ex-Lax and putting in somebody's car. Being the rapist wit that I am I said "That's a pretty shitty thing to do." Unbeknownst to me one of the adult counselors was standing behind me, confiscating a pair of handcuffs from a guy that had cuffed himself to a girl standing next to him. He thought I was talking about him. No supper that night. "You better get your ass to your cabin, cowboy."

Don't worry, I could probably put Tucker Max to shame with my "that guy" stories. Unfortunately I came to realize I was "that friend" about 5 months ago.
