If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.
"Weolcome to Arizona, now go home" bumper stickers used to be common in Az when I lived there.
“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”
― Theodore Roosevelt
In the very early 1980's, I was living in a very small town on the Texas/Mexican border called Lajitas. As in only 63 people lived there, and I could smack a five iron from my front yard and have the ball land in Mexico.
And I am a shitty golfer, by the way.
It made its revenue from tourism, so they put up a sign that said "Welcome winter Texans" on the road into our wee village. One evening a rather substantial bottle of mescal was consumed, and was followed by a fierce fight in the only bar in town. The same night, a new sign appeared:
"Welcome to Texas. Now get the hell out."
I will say that getting in bar fights on the Tex/Mex border is really good training to run a Marine rifle squad a few years later.

Mine's a good one...
There's nothing civil about this war.
