What I've observed: It helps me to see it as a fight. If it itches in the face and I tell myself "you shall not scratch!", the itching becomes more conscious and it's harder not to scratch. But if I tell myself in thought "No, Corona! You won't get me that easy!", then I switch into fight-mode and the itching just goes away.
PS:
It also helps, to give Corona a worse name in this moment. But I don't become upset, I stay quite cool, like an ice-cold killer.
