Hey I called this Thursday.

My mom was an Ob Gyn nurse; she was always busy nine months after things like blackouts, natural disasters and so forth. When people are worried, they get um occupied.

The year is 2022. Those of us that survived COVID-19 (Almost everyone) died in the great Toilet Paper Wars of 2020. The ones that survived that died from E. Coli as people contaminated everything trying desperately to relieve the itching. The TP has run out, all the bidets have broken, governments have crumbled and civilized society is but a distant memory. Water sources are all contaminated and every small game animal has been used to wipe and is unsafe to eat. Everyone duck walks. Everyone thought humanity would extinguish itself in a flash of nuclear fire but they were wrong. We went out not with a bang, but with a wimper.

The year is 2036, though no one knew it then because people had long abandoned the concept of time. The technology to make toilet paper or even the knowledge of what it was has been long lost. Everyone just believes that skid marks are a normal and unavoidable part of life. The events that lead to the end of the world have been completely forgotten and people have started to rebuild. For the first time in a long time, the future looks bright. Then one day something would happen that would that would redirect the course of humanity. What seemed like a blessing at the time would later be recognized as a curse. It was a day like any other and yet it was a day like no other. For on that faithful day, she would find it.



It's 2038, the last day of the Second Toilet Paper war. The last two warriors on the battlefield charge each other and the fight is on.

As he stands over his fallen opponent he realizes his arm is off. But no matter, tis only a flesh wound. He makes his way inside the makeshift fortress and retrieves The Last Roll. He stares at it for a brief moment before collapsing. She steps over his lifeless body and takes The Last Roll. She unrolls it, fashions it into a rope and hangs herself. The weight of her body pales into comparison to the weight of her guilt for her role in the end of humanity. It is done.
