You were obviously never a teenage boy. Only those of the mildest or an infirm constitution see such warnings an admonition to avoid risky behaviors.
You’re an aviation buff, I know you’ve seen the death traps men launched themselves into the sky on (often to their doom) on our quest for manned flight. If boys listened to their mothers and didn’t do stupid stuff we’d still be threshing wild grain with tree branches to get our food.
