Last Saturday I broke the largest diameter dowel rod that will fit down a 9mm barrel. Last Sunday, I ordered a 8mm diameter brass rod from Amazon for $11.A brass rod would be far more effective.

It doesn't have a handle, but I figure I can fashion something myself for less than buying one with a handle would cost. Having said that, I don't have it in hand yet, so I'm not really vouching for the product at this point.
