Anyhoo, I was cleaning around the cat’s litter box in the utility room. I moved the box and there was a brown recluse behind it. I dropped a very heavy book on it. I then saw a quivering movement under the furnace as other spiders reacted (“OMG, she killed Fred!”).
I called the property manager, put my cat into his carrier and we went to work while the exterminator did his thing.
