We had a Master Sgt from the Korps Mariniers (Netherlands) on an exchange program with us.
On TAD trips if we were all in the common room watching TV (most likely The History Channel) and something about Nazi Germany came on, he'd get up and walk out of the room.
I didn't really notice his behavior at first until he asked us one time why we were always watching the "Hitler Channel".
He told us the hate still runs very deep and that when the Netherlands national football team plays Germany, Dutch people hold up signs that read, "Give back my grandfather's bicycle!" and similar messages.

If they were, they'd know a Dardick has a skinny little pencil barrel with no underlug, which is the opposite of the pictured gun.
