    Barrel life was dismal at best so we've moved on to man-made Naugahyde.

    I'm not sure if they still make it or not, but Remington made an "Accelerator" cartridge.
    It was a .22LR bullet saboted into a .30-'06 casing.
    Light bullet moving fast with no rifling marks.
