Is now a good time to state that I own a ‘63 Dart with a 3 on the tree?
Goes good with my Blackhawks, gallery gun pumps, and flatgate single-six.

I learned stick on a Gremlin. That was a wonderful car. Drove a Rabbit (crap) and two Civics (great cars) with stick into the ground. Stick was fun on Portland's steep hills. When arthritis killed my knees - I went automatic.
One of my other bad ideas is an '07-ish Ford F-250 standard cab long bed with a fully reliability-upgraded 6.0, manual trans, manual transfer case and manual hubs. Pretty much theft proof, except maybe the wheels. Which is one reason why you go steel wagon wheels. The other reason is so you don't feel bad when they get dragged across a rock.

Not another dime.
You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequence of your choice.
I remember when I was real little my dad would let me shift the gears on his work trucks while he was driving.
I learned on my 79 Trans Am though. Damn that car was fun. I could change gears, smoke a cigarette, and drink a beer all at the same time. Uh....statute of limitations is up on that, right?
And like I said in the 2020 Vette thread, I’d still want a manual in a performance vehicle. For work trucks and daily drivers, nah. I ain’t got time to shift, I’m too busy texting.

And since it’s the meme thread - I’d post a har-har meme about women handling sticks but this is more appropriate.
Girl I used to date, her dad was a big time car guy. She had a stick shift Mustang, of course guys would be like, “Eeeeeeey, nice car!”
“Thanks, wanna drive it?”
“Uhhhhhhhhhh....”
