Trying JJ Racaza's version of this drill with three shots per target instead of the regular two:
Can you hear the buzzer go off while you're shooting? Yes you can, Virginia. Yes you can. Dammit.

Your reaction was pretty funny Todd. I lol'd.
Nobody is impressed by what you can't do. -THJ
Ah...the fun we have.
I stuck with the 2 shot per target version...but I can never do the math right. On one of the runs I intended to shoot 4 targets with 2 shots and then swap mags and finish...only I miscounted and forgot a round on the 4th target. I realized this as I had begun to go for the reload.
Now most people would have simply done the reload and picked up the extra shot before moving on. I, however, am special...so I continued going for the mag with the left hand and fired the makeup shot one handed. Not deliberately, mind you...more as a function of my brain realizing it had two tasks to complete and not realizing one at a time would probably be better. Scored a hit, though!
...but overall I wouldn't recommend it.

This is a good type of fail, Todd. My assumption that this is just a second time you're running this version, with 0.07 improvement and no misses as compared to the first attempt. Now, 0.07 faster, and it is in history books.
Unfortunately, no. It was my fourth attempt of the day.
First was a 5.52 clean.
Then a 5.60 down 1.
Then a completely fumbled reload after which I cussed a lot and the time was pretty meaningless... I don't think we got it on the video.

Cool, was watching this on my iPad, my five year old asked "what did he say?" Hillarious!
I'll settle for a sub 5, clean, run of the normal 2 per target drill.
