For non work, an ankle rig or an airweight behind the Cummerbund would work for most of these kind of events.

I got married with a 642 behind my cumberbund and a G26 on my ankle.

I had a Null City Slicker for the longest time; wore it under the nomex jump suit on every SWAT op for true "last-ditch" use. It would be perfect for tux wear. A few years ago, I lent it to an alledged friend; haven't seen it, or him, since. Nobody has.

I've been telling myself I need another one. A colleague just ordered an ANK, so the old guy is still working. I should get one while the getting is good.

I have a Ken Null SKR City Slicker for my Detective Special.

Likes:

1). Very concealable.

2). Very fast.

3). Weak hand draw is about as easy and fast as strong hand draw.

4). Carries the gun securely.

5). Ken Null is great to deal with.

Dislikes:

1). The harness puts pressure on the back of the neck. I currently have mine on a Kramer figure 8 suede shoulder harness.

2). The draw is noisy.

3). Crossing your own shoulder during the draw.

No....People in the wrong part of town after 2 AM in a tux is pretty much a guarantee of "up to no good" and likely drunk, high or both.

I have two Diamondbacks. One has the Detective Special grips and is a twin of the Bullett gun. For the other, I am likely going with the more Miami Vice style rig and I am getting on the Spegels list for another set of grips like the Cobra, but extended for the Diamondback.

Also.....the next car goal is a 1965 Shelby Cobra kit.....even Steeve McQueen would be envious....
