Yes, that's why I abbreviated the name. I thought you might be interested in first hand experience.

+1 for coated bullets. I've had good luck with the 147 Bayou.

Better late than never. I loaded some 150's to test using 147gr data from Lyman 49th Ed.

    Bayou Bullets 150gr SWC
3.0gr Bullseye (Starting load in the manual is 2.8gr)
    WSP primer in mixed brass

893fps, PF of 133, and they functioned in my 92 Brigadier. Because these are longer than an SNS 147gr bullet, I seated them to a longer OAL, but there isn't much powder capacity. Because of that I'm not inclined to try to increase the charge much if at all.

Standard disclaimer: I'm not a rocket scientist, YMMV, use data at your own risk, you'll all be killed, blah, blah, blah...

For comparison I ran some 147gr Speer factory ammo across the screens at 960.

I shot some of the Bayou SWCs.
They fed more smoothly and were more accurate than the usual run of 147 flatpoint.
I wish one of the coated bullet companies would make a 145-150 gr 9mm roundnose.

I shot several thousand 150 SWC lead projectiles through my 9mm's (not Glocks). My old SIG226 loved them. Shot well in my M&P PRO 5 inch also. Made pretty holes in paper too! Work well on steel targets too for USPSA/IDPA.

Any interest here for a 135 grn, .356", 9mm SWC? I have a coated bullet manufacturer willing to commission the making of the mold if I get enough interest to justify the cost of making the mold.

In other news, I have a test batch of 50, 143grn, .356 9mm SWC en route to me for testing. Should testing go well, I think it would be a great way to keep the aspect of a coated 147grn RN bullet (low powder, charge, lower recoil) while giving us the benefit of a nice clean hole for scoring 15 yards and removing any ambiguity if you should get the Alpha or Down 0.

No clue yet. I expect it to be a little bit more at first to cover the cost of making the mold, but over time for the price to be in line with other offerings. For context, here are their prices for their current offerings.

    9 mm 115 grn. RN 500 ct. $35.00
    9 mm 125 grn. RN 500 ct. $39.00
    9 mm 147 grn. TFP 500 ct. $43.00
    9 mm 147 grn. TFP 3000 ct. $225.00
