Thread: Week 152: Four Sevens

Ran this from concealment, CZ 75.

Only got 7 shots and a reload in under the time, but no other shots. All hits to B8 replacement center and an index card. Noticed I need to get used to drawing faster in live fire and I can definitely get better splits on the B8 at this distance. Started out super slow and sped up through the string based on what I was seeing on the sights.

    2.36, 0.96, 0.79, 0.48, 0.44, 0.45, 0.88 = 6.38 sec

I shot this drill 3 times at an IDPA target. Next time I'd like to use an IPSC for the head's alpha box.

    1) 6.23sec with 5/14 (-8B were in the -1 zone and -1B that missed the target completely wth?)
I wished someone was there to slap me in the back of the head because that run was pitiful.

    2) 6.07sec with 11/14 (-3B in the -1 zone)

    3) 5.76sec with 12/14 (-2 in the -1 zone)

Equipment used: Glock 22 w/9mm conversion, Safariland ALS holster, vest .
Number of hits under the par time: First run – 6/14, Second run – 7/14.
Anything you noticed: Better chance of getting hits under par time if you don’t stop to admire your hits at the reload. Fired first 7, looked at target for the hits then realized I was only half finished. One of those senior moments I guess.

    Same equipment.
6.10; 13 As, 1B- jerked the crap out of the fist head shot. It should have been a clean run.

Pretty happy with cutting .25 off my time.
    C Class shooter.

I am currently way to slow for this drill the par time. I was mid reload when the par time was up.
