    I usually carry a Streamlight model like the OP's. It makes for a very handy "Here, you can have this light." I tend to give away a lot of flashlights that way, but they are only around $20 shipped from Amazon.

    And it's a great way to plant a seed about awareness with folks that might not otherwise be interested.

    I've been using the PT1L and PT2L for a while now. the 1L does backup duty. I cracked the glass lens on the 2L, and Streamlight fixed it gratis. I've gone and cracked it again, but the light still functions and I don't want to be without it.....I'll probably buy another down the road for a spare. Great lights!

    I like lithium batteries because of the leaking issue with alkalines, and AA lithium bulk packs are available at Sam's Club.
