I clean the pockets on my LR ammo, but nothing else. Not every time though.

One reason to go with SS wet tumbling. Seems to clean the pockets pretty well. One less step. Sort of.

OK, let me get this straight. He built a special building for reloading complete with heat, AC, reinforced walls and insulation. Then he fills it with Lee equipment. Don't get me wrong, I like Lee's stuff. I think you all have figured that out about me if nothing else, but if I had the resources to build a dedicated reloading shop it would be stacked with Dillon 1050 presses, 'cause it's only fucking money, Right? Then he posts a vid of his single stage press jamming up while decaping? WTF!

Yeah, but you gotta resize/de-cap first. Never would I accuse anyone of being a philistine for not cleaning primer pockets on practice/blasting ammo; running dirty brass through one's expensive carbide sizing die, OTOH, is asking for the tar and feathers…

All BS aside, I have seen more than one carbide sizer get scratched from dirty brass. Bad juju, IMO.

No you don't. I use a universal decapping die for my precision rifle brass. Then into the ultrasound. Then into the dehydrator. Then lubed and resized. I have never put a piece of dirty brass into my REDDING COMPETITION MICROMETER SEATING DIES.
