Couldn't help myself when I saw this thing in the case. I'd been trying to justify a 9 mm 1911 to go with the CQB I picked up from GJM awhile back. This was definetly a "because I want it" moment, but I'm looking forward to see how it preforms.

Wow, there have been request for a 9 mm valor. Is that a new model or was it a special order / pre owned?

I've seen some guys on the 1911 for him with special order guns consisting of a valor frame and a p.m. nine slide.

It's a new model for 2016. Dan Wesson is starting to make most of their models available in both 9 and 45.

I just picked up my 9mm VBOB from my FFL a few minutes ago.

I had a custom 9mm VBOB built for me in the past. It was very nice and a lot of fun to shoot.

I started shooting 9mm 1911's about 4 years ago, before it was cool, and I'm of the opinion that no one does them better than Dan Wesson and probably Wilson Combat.

Does anyone have experience with the 9mm DW Guardian? None of the online reviews I've seen have a high round count.

I put around 6,000 through two of them. I also shot one in a relatively high round count firearms instructor school.

Neither one of them ever missed a beat. I only have one left now, and converted in to .38 Super, but I'm a big fan of the 9mm version.

I had no idea the DW 9s were so reliable. I was just getting ready to pony up the cash for a Wilson.

What kind of mags were you running?

    Mostly Metalforms and Chip McCormicks.

Wilson used to have some issues with their 9mm ETM mags, but have recently come out with an updated version that is supposedly goot to go. I'm going to order a couple of the new ones and try them out.

Here's the one I picked up today:

So THAT'S how you get a chinese election.
This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.

I'm really thinking hard about a Specialist and Valkyre in 9mm this year. Glad to see all these new 9mm offerings.
