I'm curious about this, too. Playing it safe, I'd advise not to do that. Some guns decock to 1/2 cock (CZ, SIG sortof, HK) but the Beretta doesn't, so possibly the half cock notch on the hammer isn't designed to be robust enough to see constant use?
