Did a bit more shoveling just now and then brewed up some gluhwein with the missus to warm up. Tomorrow's task will be digging out the cars.

I spent all day shoveling sunshine off my driveway. Mid 60s with a light cloud cover. It's the payback for living here in the summer.

Trust me, the Shiner still runs deep. But free beer is free beer.

Oddly, the NJ BaiHu family does. It makes it easier taking the dog out since 2013.

I think we'll survive here in the upstate. We got a bunch of sleet that turned into frozen roads Friday night followed by maybe 4 inches of fluffy snow overnight. Yesterday a lot melted then froze overnight. I imagine it will be mostly gone today.
After living a few years in Idaho followed by a few more at Ft. Drum I know I would rather sit at home and drink bourbon than deal with the mess.

i'm so glad they weren't salting like fools yesterday. they also weren't running the plows constantly. made getting the driveway open easier on the plow.

Well, I put in 3 hours yesterday, 3 hours today. Freedom. I've decided I'm too old to do the shoveling thing anymore, so from here on out, gas-powered snow blower for me. Went to Safeway briefly, enjoyed the look of the barren shelves and picking through the leftovers. Weird that no one buys supreme pizza for snow days.
