The polymer encapsulated bullets look like just the thing for steel presuming POI isn't radically different.
Of course I'd be thrilled if they'd start making the 10mm 180 trophy bonded JSP the brought out a couple years ago. It's impossible to find in stock for over a year now.

That micro HST looks interesting; anybody know what they consider the intended barrel length for this bullet?
I wonder how it compares to the Blazer / Herters TNJ (total nylon jacket) The brass case of the Fed would be a bonus.

ETA: Looks like the Herters TNJ has been out for at least 4 years. CCI / Blaser / Federal all fall under the ATK parent company.

Nylon encapsulated lead bullets have been used by reloaders for ages as a CHEAPER alternative to FMJ ones... but I guess marketing trumps all common sense.
Also, why is this guy thinking that polymer-coated bullets are even a new idea for Federal?
