I look at the new P226s, 07/09 from CZ, the HK P30/VP9, or the new offerings in 9mm 1911s and think, "Man, that would make such a kickass carry gun."

Then I look at the 6 Glock 9mms that I own, the 20+ magazines, the dozens of holsters and mag pouches and think, "Or maybe not..."

Now that you are set on carry guns, a 9mm 1911, a P226 Legion etc could be justified as follows:

1) Make going to the range fun again ( Passion of the gun)
2) Shooting a different gun / trigger will help your Shooting
3) Safer and cheaper than a mistress ;-)

This is where revolvers and 1911's come in for me.

So now I'm buzzing big time. I got a Gen 4 G35 via a GSSF award (luck, not earned) and like all the long slides I've owned, I didn't warm to it and flipped it into a Sig Mk 25 226. Love that pistol! I can't see it replacing my carry Glocks. But huge fun! I can't do with it what I can do with my heavy use Glocks but to HCM and GJM's often made points, I'm going to shoot it a lot to learn new stuff and hopefully translate that into my Glock shooting.
