I never have but would be interested if I could find some in the DFW area. I understand that you can shoot the pistol two handed now.

WHAT??? Jesus Christ on a crutch. Next, they'll do away with the 50 yard slow fire portion.

Looks like somebody has been reading from the "Let's-dumb-down-police-qualifications" Manly Manual...

Sorry, Wayne… that just caught me by surprise.

I don't think you can shoot two-handed for score...

I know I read something on EIC matches using the M9 recently that stated two handed was allowed. Now I've been self sentenced to go and find that again.

    OK - found it:

Looks like it is for the CMP Games,

    http://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/CMPGamesRules.pdf - 3.3.4

But it looks like this is only for "Special M9-only matches" (all 25 yards shooting) and "As-issued matches" (which they shoot in SAFS or in the military?)

For the legit, EIC legs, it looks like it is 1-handed, 25yard and 50 yards. (different rulebook: http://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/Rulebook.pdf)

There are some, in my view, good changes to the rifle rules that will allow most people to compete with guns they currently have.

I hadn't shot because I couldn't justify a gun just to shoot a couple matches per year. Now there is no reason I can't use my patrol rifle.

Yeah - they really opened up the rifle and pistol side...
