Sorry, I should've mentioned I knew that much, but I thought there was a version that made the 5 seconds more challenging. I'm a ~6.5 second FAST shooter, and I didn't find this challenging at 5 seconds from concealment from day 1, but I like the concept. I'll be utilizing some of your ideas like reloading or only in the 8 ring or better, etc.

I've found the several variations of the 5rds-5yds-5secs-5" drill to be a good indicator of a basic, beginning competency.
