    Several of the judges around here spend about as much time in front of the bench defending their DUIs as they do behind it.

    The whole deal with Mr. Shelley and is family is tragic but hardly a surprise.

    What a tragedy on multiple levels.

    On a separate note, it is these situations that re-enforce the need to carry every day and everywhere. I bet the victim never thought once that he would have needed to defend his life with deadly violence that day. Even if he had a 'truck gun' it did jack squat.
