If it should happen again, let it happen near those of us with the ability to respond effectively.
I have no doubt the LEOs in that area are doing the best they can, but LE can only do so much. First contacts need to be armed and need to return fire. This is the only effective way to stop the threat.
Apparently politicians are already talking about gun control as the situation is still on-going, saying "something must be done about gun violence." I agree in theory, and think it's more appropriate to generalize that to all violence, and not just focus on the tool. However, I think I'm a realist and have very little optimism on our ability to cure or suppress the very worst parts of human nature with the stroke of a pen.
Hillary already weighed in with her $.02, shit the bodies aren't even cold.
Sometimes it takes a stroke of the sword, and the willingness to swing it.
