In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

Lots of great films mentioned.
Thread shift:
I have an Amazon Prime account and a streaming-only Netflix account. While these are great sources for mediocre flicks, they're poor sources for better/older films, and I'd bet that I can find less than 15% of the movies mentioned in this thread.
Where/how do you source high-quality films these days? I'm not interested in buying, just renting.
Lots of great movies here. Some stories hit hard and some storytellers put a lot of heavy weight behind that hit.
But I haven't seen mention of my favorite, head and shoulders above the rest: The Princess Bride.
