The TLR w/laser has a crappy little cheap ass mode toggle switch in a vulnerable location. Other than that it's ok.

Wouldn't know. Prefer CTC grips.

My TLR-1's lens broke when I attempted to holster into an RCS Phantom and hit the lens on the edge of the holster. I've had no such issues with my X300 or my duty X300U.

Didn't Surefire have an ad a few years back of an X300 or maybe even an X200 that took a bullet on the side and kept working?

SureFire WML switches don't do it for me. . . . The push-down motion (ninety degrees to the bore axis) on the StreamLight's switch- and InSight, et. al.- feels more natural... to me.

Same here. I was issued a Surefire X300, but finally went out and bought a TLR-1 because I prefer the Streamlight switch.
