It appears that the information provided by French intelligence/security personnel to their German counterparts was remarkably specific. Down to the city and the means. Impressive work that appears to have saved many lives. Looks like the modus operandi is to hit cities where the Head of State is for a sporting event.

Well... A lot of people over here are afraid these days.

I'm curious, if this will cause politicians to change anything.

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

So did they actually find explosives or not?

No explosives found, no arrests yet. Some device (maybe a faked explosive) was found at the railway station.

A lot of rumors. And the federal minister of interior refuses answers to several questions "because this would disturb the public."

Either it was a false alarm, or we really have a problem.

The trouble is that it is the politicians who really are the biggest problem. They don't take security seriously until after lots of people get killed, and in the case of Germany they insist on taking in millions of "refugees." Many of those refugees are probably fine people. Many might even be real refugees. But a million is a huge number. If only .1% of those refugees are jihadis or jihadi sympathizers, you are going to have an enormous new problem, and you are probably going to find that at least 1% are, or have been, active jihadis who have fought in Syria and that maybe 10% sympathize with the jihadis. In Britain they call mistakes of that kind an "own goal."

I wish you guys luck because you are going to need it. So are we--and we are taking in far fewer refugees.

It's far worse. The EU lost control over it's borders. Everybody (and everything) can come in now.
So even if all refuges are fine and honest people, there are still bad people who'll make use of this. Europe allready has a bunch of islamists.

And another problem: There were no explosives found. So if this was not a false alarm, they're still out there...

I'm sure that an increasing fraction of your crime comes from foreigners, and there are going to be a lot of criminals mixed in with those "refugee" flows.

The only real answer to the Syrian refugees is to keep them in Syria in a protected zone, but what is the answer to politicians who lose control of the borders?

We have the same problem here. Our political class has no will to defend our borders or to enforce our immigration laws. The result is an increase in lawlessness (but lots of new immigrants, many of whom illegally vote for the politicians who protect them).

The entire West is committing suicide.

Isn't this what the UN and new world order conspiracy has always wanted?...everyone under one ruling power.

Try them for treason, and if found guilty, hang them.

You mean that we are doing it wrong when we let them retire with huge pensions and give speeches at $250,000 a pop?
