Yes, as long as the gun is a MOS gun.

For instance, you can use an aftermarket ACRO or 509T mount to attach the optic to a MOS gun.

    Thank you!

As another example, a CHPWS or FCD plate mounting an RMR/507/etc?

I didn’t ask that specific question (using a aftermarket plate with an optic that the factory plate set supported) when I was told aftermarket plates were allowed. But, I don’t see it ever being an issue.

    Milled slides, No.
    Rear dovetail mounts, No.
Using a MOS gun without an optic, No.

The above was from a discussion with GSSF staff before the rules were released.

FWIW, I’ve ran a FCD mount with a 507C at 5 matches this year.

Using a MOS gun with irons and the factory blank plate isn’t allowed? That seems arbitrary.

No, it is not allowed. There are plenty of other places to run it. But, nothing says you have to turn the optic on .

I say this because I've had five Glocks now and they are all over the place in terms of tofs or shoot the dot, and I've had to tune the front sight height to match my preference (shoot the dot) in almost all cases.
Over the recent years Glock has changed standard sight heights. The standard used to be 6.5mm rear with 4.1mm fronts. Now most ship with 6.1mm rear and 4.1mm fronts. That goes for GNS night sights or polys. Ameriglo Bolds generally ship with .200 front but I have found the .180 to be best for me in conjunction with the .276 rear.

I was thinking, in the event I have a chance, I'd have some questions ready for the Glock representatives on items I've always wondered about. The only one I can think of is to do with GLOCK sights, which is: What is the designed "hold" for GLOCK pistols using plastic sights? Top of front sight? Or "shoot the dot"?

Are there any other questions that I should ask?
    Thought of a couple more:

    1) Is it ok to remove the copper colored anti-seize paste that comes in new Glocks, and relube, or should this absolutely be left on?

    2) Why are the latches on Glock factory boxes "upside down"?

I can’t tell you how much this annoys me.

Optional. I always remove it. It's there for storage purposes.

    2) Why are the latches on Glock factory boxes "upside down"?
They aren't. People just tend to open the case upside down.
