    IDPA Matches in the Snow?

So what is my best bet in the Mid-Atlantic region (VA, MD, WV, TN, KT) for an IDPA Match after snowfall at a range that is relatively accessible and won't cancel due to weather? This looks like lots of fun! I hear the ranges at Peacemaker are pretty difficult to get to when there is snow/ice especially without a 4x4?

It's a little south of the area you stated, but The Range in Oxford, NC runs year round, and in December, Frank usually has a weekend where there are three matches i.e day matches on Saturday and Sunday, and a night match on Saturday.

We've got a little indoor league now for the winter months (all 11 of them). It's better than shooting in knee deep snow like I used to.

I was a Safety Officer working this match. On Saturday morning it was about 20 degrees. But I came prepared with a hand muff, heat pads, long underwear, coffee, etc. I kept my vehicle running and warmed up in between squads when possible. It was interesting to see how many people had equipment/lube issues at that temperature. It will definitely test your equipment. My CZ ran fine on Friday, with a wind chill of about 10. I used Zero Friction lube, and had no issues.

I will say it was challenging but like anything that pushes me past my comfort zone, I appreciate it after the fact. Now, I am happy I did it and will probably do it next year.
