    Smith & Wesson SD9 VE

SKU: 34972 (Two Tone / Stainless Slide)

I know very little about them and it wouldn't under any normal circumstance be a primary carry pistol. At $270 for a brand new one, are they reliable enough to serve as a general purpose, knock around, stash pistol?

A straight up Yes or No will do unless there's some need to qualify that opinion.

    Thanks

    Yes.

When they came out, they were around the $399 market, making them roughly $75-$100 less than the M&P which was continuing to gain popularity. So, they sat on shelves with people either going with the cheaper SW9VE Sigma's priced at $299 or opted for the M&P's at $499. At $275, it represents a great value.

    Yes.

Probably could be a carry gun with a few minor tweaks.

Yes...and get the Apex kit. One of the better values for a new Semi auto pistol currently.
