I don't get emails that I have liked something but I do get notifications for about a third of the likes I give. Gets my hopes up first I see a new notification and I just KNOW it's Tom Saying I've won the DOTW or another forum member saying they found that bag of cash I lost. Shaking with excitement I click only to find out it's a "somebody likes your post", at this point I'm bummed but hey, someone out there likes me!?! Woot woot! Then I click it only to find out its letting me know I liked someone's post

I like it, too. Especially now that I turned the email off

    I still fail to...
I've "liked" before and never got a notification that I did so before.

The thing that kills me is that until about two days ago, I didn't even realize this was an issue. Then all of a sudden, it's like I just started killing it with people and now I'm living with the consequences of mega-stardom.

Apparently all I needed to do was talk about owning a cabin, and headbutting people, because I seriously have gotten more love in the last two days than in all of the existence of the like button. Probably including on Facebook.

Anyway so now I need this thread even though when I first saw it I was like "oh big man mister showoff gets so many likes it's inconvenient".
This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.

Again, I'm more than happy to be wrong about this, but I'm not.
Maybe. Maybe somebody clicked "like" for one of my posts just as I logged off the last time. However I can assure you I had no notifications highlighted when I left, when I came back it had '1' and when I clicked it it showed be what I quoted. I could be wrong, there could be a glitch that's not obvious in the code.

I get notifications for posts I like.

It's not a problem and I'm not complaining.

Everything it says I've liked I have indeed likes. I never get emails that I liked stuff but I do get the forum notifications

Idk man. I think we're just having trouble understanding each other. All I'm saying is I routinely log in to find I have 1 new notification. I click on it and it says I have "1 new like/post thank" or what ever, I click on it and my new notification is that I have liked SOMEONE else's post.

I still like you. And the forum. And ice cream. I just seen two people where having a adult disagreement and I couldn't help myself but to get involved.

PS. I didn't read anything you quoted. I hope you forgive me. There are so many words so if the answer to my question is in there please disregard.

PSS. I've always wanted to know what TL;DR was, maybe now is a good time?
