I was at one of the local gun shops yesterday when an old shotgun caught my eye. It was a beat-up Remington Model 10 with hardly any bluing left, and someone had shortened the barrel to 18.5".
The price tag was $179. I am constitutionally unable to walk past a functioning weapon for less than two bills, especially one designed by the man John Browning himself called "the greatest gun designer in the world". Plus, I don't own a shotgun.
I think I'm gonna go back today and make an offer on it. I found a box of Winchester #4 buck in the attic. That's a sign, right?
