For now I’m gonna get a sling and light on it and then run the dog piss out of it.
The rounds down range sounds like another solid plan, especially when you add the CROM/T1 & take a look @ the Aridus side saddle option as well.

Details on the beveled loading port?

    Great looking shotgun.

Currently working toward getting a pair of 870P's completed and in service.
Purchased from Summit Gunbroker late 2014 and now with approved 14" SBS stamps.
When completed will have the following:

+Barrels - 14" XS Low Profile/Tritium sights + Vang Comp treatment (no ports).
    +Stocks - Magpul
+Accessories - Vang Comp (+1rd extension, follower, safety); Mesa Tactical (6rd sidesaddle); Surefire (DSF-870)

Hoping to get the pair completed and in service NLT December.

You can get much more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.

My recently completed 870P; also my one and only purpose built home defense long gun.

Has a single point sling from CSM tactical that I keep wrapped up with MOLLE clips (or whatever they are called formally...) to keep it out of the way when I am not using it. The clips pop off nice and fast should I need to do so.

I like the clip idea. I’ve done something similar with big hunks of bicycle inner tube, but yours is a more elegant solution.
