Just looking at some of the other pictures of P2000sk's in this thread and I noticed that the P2000 trapezoid logo on the grip of my P2000sk is different than the others. Mine says "P2000" on the top and "HK" with a small "JS" in a circle on the bottom. Other's I see have a "P" on top and "2000" on the bottom. Does anyone know the story here why the logo design changed and what the "JS" means?

Courtesy of Big Bore over on HKpro.

For a short period of time HK civilian sales were under the hunting and sporting division and the HKs that came out during this time had that JS marking. Other than the marking itself it is meaningless to the shooter. The pistols are exactly the same and there is no difference between one with the JS marking and one without.

Thanks for that. I see now that under the "Heckler and Koch" at the top of the grip, just under the slide, it says "Jagd- und Sportwaffen Gmbh" which apparently means Hunt-and Sporting Weapons. Guess thats where they get the JS.

Here are my JS marked examples. An AE P2000, and the elusive AF P2000sk v1 in .357 Sig. The JS can be seen to the right of the HK logo on the left of the slide.

ETA: Mine lacks the stamp on the grip, like yours.

Interesting. My JS is only in the P2000 logo on the grip, not on the slide or on the case.

I’d give the JMCK IWB3 a slight edge for concealment but this VM2 is just classy and comfy

Just traded into this. I'm a 90's kid so USP's have some nostalgia for me. I used to play PC games like Delta Force and Rainbow Six that had the USP in them and I thought they looked badass. I need to get a .45 V3 to really round out the 90's throwback.
