A couple beers convinced me that it was time to stipple the grip panels. It ain’t pretty, but it works and I should have done this ages ago.

The only thing that goes better than a soldering gun with beer is a Dremel!

Nice job! Have another to celebrate a job well done!

Normally this doesn’t end well but there was a dremel involved, I used it to blunt the tip of the soldering iron

I can only imagine the anxiety of that first press into the plastic....

A Glock? Meh... HK? There was some Teutonic god looming over your shoulder ready to strike doom down upon you if you screwed it up...

If I would align the top edge, they were pretty well regulated, but at speed, I visually wanted to bury that front in the rear gutter. Combined with the sharpness, they did not work well for me. NF ships in several days, but the Trijicon B&T rear had a 6 wk lead 2 wks ago. Right now the white silicone rings on the Trijicon rear are the best available option for me. I'm at the point where I need the visual input from the rear rings, as the top edge can get lost depending on target color, lighting, glasses tint, etc.

I have found the NF front to regulate with the P30, P2000, and P2000sk when paired with a B&T rear.

Do you have the stock white 3 dots that came on your SK? Might try those before you spend the money on NF and Trijicon rear. NF is $53 shipped and Trijicon rear is about $85.

If you don't, I can send you on old set from one of mine.
Thanks. I do have my factory set of non illuminated HK sights. I wonder if the NF front will pair well with an HD rear for top of front sight POI for my SK?

I believe a stock front, as well as the NF, would dramatically raise the POI if paired with HD rear.

Looks good to me! At least the panels on the HK are replaceable if you limit the work to those...
The texture on the VP9s was a big disappointment to me. The little maggots just didn't stick like the P30 fine gritty feel.

Exactly! This is about as much texture as I can tolerate AIWB though I haven’t even knocked the edges down. For me the P30 doesn’t need a grip enhancement like this.
